Rationing during World War II

State your objectives:
Using MS Word the students will analyze what their reactions and experiences were during the rationing crisis.
Using PowerPoint prepared by the teacher, the students will discuss each day what is taught about rationing.
Using the sheets provided, the students will develop a menu with the ration stamps to fed everyone in their family group.

Create a PowerPoint presentation to introduce some information about rationing.
Reserve laptop cart and/or computer lab for projects.
Require Learner participation:
The teacher should be able to observe the students reactions to rationing. He/She should see them accepting the situation at the beginning, and as the week goes on, should see some frustration about the limits of the project. Make sure the students spend the ration tickets on their sheet, and not just jot down a menu. When the later lessons in the week are added, you should see them have a little relief when they can expand their menu. Handouts are on the Teacher Resource Page.
